What is the behaviour in-game?

In-game, shaper’s despair (shaper balls) can be supported by Frostmage support, with the corresponding damage increase and support icon appearing on the character sheet.

What is the behaviour in Path of Building?

Says Frostmage can’t support Shaper’s Despair

How to reproduce the issue

Equip the correct version of Legacy of the Rose in PoB
Put Frostmage support in Weapon 1

PoB for PoE1 build code

Edit: The last screenshot shows that Frostmage Support says it cannot support Shaper Memory, but it does show Shaper's Despair 🤔 . So this looks like a real issue.

I don't see this when I test in game. Can you show a screenshot that shows otherwise?

This value doesn't change regardless of me socketing the support gem, reserving mana or not reserving mana, having 0 remembrance or 10 remembrance, etc. I also don't see the support icon.

Yeah you have to look at shaper's despair. It’s all very confusing.
If you open the character sheet, you can see the ball skill itself, and Frostmage’s letter will show up
