In the logs of RegionServers we see

2024-02-08 13:29:01,530 WARN  [regionserver/hbase-regionserver-default-2:16020] hbase.ZNodeClearer: Environment variable HBASE_ZNODE_FILE not set; znodes will not be cleared on crash by start scripts (Longer MTTR!)

Investigate if this is something we can improve on.
