The Next Chapter of Tiny Claw Begins

Hey everyone,

Before anything else, I want to share a personal update.

I recently underwent surgery to remove a cyst on my back. It wasn’t dangerous, but it had been bothering me for a while and made it difficult to work comfortably. During recovery, I needed to rest and mostly code using my voice instead of typing. That made me almost entirely offline and contributed to my lack of activity in open source recently.

I’m doing better now, and I wanted to explain where my time and energy went.

Over the past few months, I’ve been working on several projects and tools under WG Tech Labs. I polished these workflow projects:

• release-build-flow-action
• package-build-flow-action
• container-build-flow-action

After that, I started building build-flow-action, which unifies those workflows into one system. It was much harder than I expected. Even with AI assistance, the underlying logic and architecture were not easy to design.

That work pushed me to improve how I think about automation, releases, testing, and open-source maintenance. I wasn’t just building tools. I was building a better way to build software.

I also started glasses, set it aside to focus on devin-discord-bot and devin-telegram-bot, and recently built ph-scam-db, a project for collecting and flagging Philippine scammer phone numbers.

I’m also starting a robotics business called Amihan Tech. This is connected to one of my biggest long-term dreams: bringing useful and reliable AI companions into the physical world.

And now, Tiny Claw.

I want to be honest: I stopped building Tiny Claw for a while. I intentionally set it aside and deprioritized it while I worked on these other projects, improved my development workflow, and studied AI engineering more seriously.

Through all of that, I came to an important realization:

I built Tiny Claw with the wrong architecture.

That is difficult to admit, but it is also one of the most valuable things I’ve learned. The original vision has not changed, but the foundation needs to change if Tiny Claw is going to become the kind of AI companion I truly want to build.

So in the coming weeks, you can expect a burst of updates as I revisit the workflows, restructure how Tiny Claw works, and rethink parts of the architecture. This will not just be a cosmetic update or another small feature release. Some of the underlying ideas need to be rebuilt properly so they can support the bigger vision.

Tiny Claw was deprioritized, but it was never abandoned.

The time away gave me better tools, better perspective, and a clearer understanding of what needs to change. I believe I’m now in a much better position to build it properly.
