Deep Research now supplements repository code with current package and API documentation from Parallel Search MCP. Search uses Fast mode with no account or API key required. Unconfigured servers use Parallel for Deep Research; normal chat, Codemap and wiki generation keep their existing behavior.
Choose Server default, Parallel or Disabled in Ask's Web documentation control. Browser choices are saved. Operators can set DEEPWIKI_SEARCH_PROVIDER=disabled for repository-only research, or DEEPWIKI_WEB_SEARCH_ALLOWED=false to prevent outbound documentation requests regardless of client settings. Excerpts retain source URLs, and unavailable documentation is reported explicitly.
I work at Parallel.
