- Around line 89-91: Update the verify-app stop procedure to confirm all
task-owned child processes have exited before deleting the instance’s DSH_HOME;
if that check has not succeeded, preserve the Profile until it does. Keep the
existing evidence-directory behavior unchanged.
Review comments at @docs/agents/ax-resource-cleanup.md:
- Line 41: Update the worktree-removal prerequisite in the cleanup guidance to
state that the work must be completed or merged, replacing the ambiguous
“completed/merged work” wording; leave the other removal conditions unchanged.

Verification for final head StandardsPASS: no blocking findings. The runbook owns the policy and first-party skills point to it; launcher limitations match the code. SpecPASS: no remaining blocking findings. Initial review found one P2 concerning child processes surviving the combined stop/delete helper; this head adds sole-Host-use preconditions and separate shutdown/deletion for shared or uncertain consumers. Independent re-review confirmed the fix. Local: four related test files / 33 tests passed, plus release ledgers, formatting, documentation links, source policy and feature-map validation. CI for this exact head was checked before merge. No native/mobile verification is claimed; this is documentation only. CodeRabbit reviewed the initial head; its child-process finding and wording suggestion have both been fixed, replied to and resolved. Independent Standards and Spec reviewers rechecked this final head and found no blockers. Automatic re-review status is separate; no automatic pass is inferred. A separate HTML page is omitted for this linear documentation workflow. Temporary local dependency references and the CI watcher were removed. Source changes, verification evidence and shared E2E/QA environments are retained. Final GitHub Actions checks passed: lint/format/typecheck/build, related tests, docs-site build, isolated-Host smoke and the aggregate gate. CodeRabbit re-review remains pending; its two initial actionable threads are resolved. |
Closes #2586 | Agent claim | Task:
codex/local/01a14508-190d-7d61-81cd-f098f37b54c9Why the change
Verification Hosts can survive completed tasks and retain memory and Swap, so agents need a required, verifiable teardown procedure that preserves evidence and shared QA environments.
Special things to note
verify-app stopis limited to a disposable Profile used only by the recorded Host; children/shared consumers require separate shutdown and deletion, and retained Profile state requires preservation. This internal AX change does not change the public DSH Skill or product release behavior.Change outline
The runbook covers successful, failed and interrupted runs, protects shared E2E/QA leases, and records the observed orphaned-Host incident without claiming a memory leak or assigning an unverified cause.
