Summary

  • Add a Freedesktop 25.08 manifest that builds redumper b750 from source and the GUI from this checkout, and installs both binaries in /app/bin.
  • Grant Wayland/X11, GPU, home directory, and raw device access. --device=all is required because dumping needs /dev/sg* and /dev/sr* and there is no portal for that.
  • Set the window app id to com.redumper.gui and add a desktop file, AppStream metainfo, and an x64 flatpak-builder CI job.
  • A host MPF.Check binary is not visible inside the sandbox.

This is independent of the AppImage pull request. It is one of two packaging options for #9. Submitting the same manifest to Flathub should wait until a release tag contains these files, then replace the type: dir GUI source with that git commit.

Test plan

  • flatpak-builder completes on x64 against SDK 25.08 and installs redumper and redumper-gui next to each other
  • Confirm the new Flatpak CI job passes
  • Install the result, confirm the app starts, lists an optical drive, and can write a dump under the home directory
  • Confirm the existing tar.gz, Windows, and macOS release jobs are unchanged

Made with Cursor

Package the GUI with a from-source redumper so a sandboxed desktop install can dump discs and land on Flathub later.

Comment thread README.md
A fresh Flatpak install has no flathub remote, so the documented runtime install failed before it could start.
