Gabotelli/README.md

Gabriel Suárez

MSc in Advanced Mathematics and BSc in Mathematics and Computing from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. I am moving from advanced mathematics, computing and software engineering toward quantitative research, quantitative analysis and research engineering.

My research focuses on operator theory, spectral analysis and numerical experiments. At Inetum, I worked on enterprise Adobe Experience Manager applications using Java, JavaScript and React.

Selected projects

  1. MSc thesis — multiplication operators in discrete Sobolev spaces — Gelfand-type indices, bounded point evaluations, finite Hessenberg representations and singular values. Grade: 9.5/10.
  2. BSc thesis — zeros of Sobolev orthogonal polynomials — theoretical analysis and Maple experiments for zero localization and spectral comparisons. Grade: 9.4/10.
  3. Loan approval ML competition — academic SME classification project; 2nd out of 7 teams. Python, NumPy, scikit-learn, logistic regression, random forest, XGBoost and ensemble modelling. Evaluation limitations are documented.
  4. Lyon metro A* route planner — graph search with a Python/Tkinter interface. Collaborative coursework.
  5. FlowFree SAT solver — Haskell/GTK puzzle application and SAT encoding. Joint project with Ángela Gutiérrez, using Surely.
