Summary

Removes the upstream Staticman (Express, Node 8) code now that the Worker in src/ implements specs 001–003. The exact list was approved by the maintainer (54 files):

  • lib/, controllers/, test/ (Jest)
  • index.js, server.js
  • config.js, siteConfig.js, config.sample.json, config.test.json
  • app.json, Dockerfile, docker-compose.yml, docker-compose.development.yml, .dockerignore
  • .travis.yml, staticman_key.pub, staticman.sample.yml, .env (empty)

Added contribute.sample.yml (config of the legacy entry route); ESLint no longer needs exclusions; README status updated. Upstream stays in git history and NOTICE.md; its logo is kept for docs/UPSTREAM-README.md.

ELI5

The old house is taken down now that everyone moved into the new one; the blueprints stay in the archive.

Tests

npm run check: 411 ✓; link check ✓.

AI disclosure

  • Built with AI assistance (Claude Code); file list approved by the maintainer.

Part of #2 — remaining: branch protection requiring CI on main (admin action).

The Workers service in src/ replaces it (specs 001-003). Removed with maintainer approval: lib/, controllers/, test/ (Jest), index.js, server.js, config.js, siteConfig.js, config.sample.json, config.test.json, app.json, Dockerfile, docker-compose*.yml, .dockerignore, .travis.yml, staticman_key.pub, staticman.sample.yml and the empty .env (54 files). contribute.sample.yml documents the legacy entry route's config; lint no longer needs exclusions. The upstream code stays in git history and is credited in NOTICE.md; its logo is kept for docs/UPSTREAM-README.md.
