The app now names itself mkeiitmods and stores data under %APPDATA%\mkeiitmods (mkeiitmods_devel in development, %ProgramData%\mkeiitmods in shared mode). The updater resolves releases from Nexus-Mods/Vortex and would replace the fork with Vortex. Mixpanel analytics, OpenTelemetry traces, crash reports, Unleash feature flags and feedback submission all go to Vortex services at Nexus Mods. Each is now gated behind a build-time switch in src/shared/src/branding.ts that ships off. Requests to the Nexus Mods API now send Application-Name mkeiitmods and our own version, as their Acceptable Use Policy requires. nxm:// links are only claimed after the user enables link handling in the settings, so an installed Vortex keeps them. Two telemetry paths outside the analytics extension (detected games, mod list snapshot) and send-metric are gated by the telemetry switch as well. Vortex's English UI strings double as translation keys, so the name is swapped when text is displayed: an i18next post-processor in the renderer and a dialog wrapper in main, both using rebrandText from @vortex/shared. Mentions that mean the upstream project (credits, URLs, identifiers) are kept. The installer gets its own appId, product and executable name, the About page credits Vortex while showing our name and version, logos are replaced with neutral placeholders, and bug-report links point at the fork's issue tracker. The new mod_catalog extension lists every Nexus Mods mod for the active game through the official GraphQL v2 API: name search (debounced), category filter, four sort orders and load-more paging, with pages cached for ten minutes. Cards and the mod page mark installed mods and available updates; installing goes through the regular nexusDownload flow. Adult mods are filtered out unless the user turns them on. Queries run through the existing Nexus client (new nexusQueryGraph ext function) so they share its quota, auth and headers. The page lives outside browse_nexus to keep upstream merges clean.
