Reader-document validation passes all 238 Markdown files. The Wiki public/private boundary check and MkDocs 1.6.1 strict build pass after the registry refresh, with 35 canonical entities and 14 project lenses. The organization registry's visibility values match the live 15-repository snapshot. These are structural and routing checks, not research validation.

Profile #10 still awaits code review, and #10, Wiki #15, and status follow-up #51 still need their publication decisions. P1-11 remains in progress. The preserved work samples, unresolved licensing questions, substantive research review, and private/public Wiki freshness comparison retain their separate scopes.

## Public-documentation batch completed: 2026-10-23

This checkpoint supersedes the remaining-publication statements in the preceding section. Dates use Pacific time.

[Root #46](https://github.com/Root-Sequence/root-sequence/pull/46), [organization profile/registry #10](https://github.com/Root-Sequence/.github/pull/10), [Wiki build/visibility #15](https://github.com/Root-Sequence/wiki/pull/15), and [root status follow-up #51](https://github.com/Root-Sequence/root-sequence/pull/51) are merged. The public website, repository introductions, organization profile and registry, seven-public-repository Wiki projection, and corrected private/revision status for Liberated Intelligence and Liberation Mass are now on their default branches.

The released documentation preserves project-local authority, research/evidence limits, private-source boundaries, and the separation of work-sample review. It does not adopt research claims, governance proposals, licensing changes, or private-Wiki material. The next planned professional-refresh action is the evidence-based open-PR triage in ROADMAP P1-12.

## Current reality

The repository contains active and historical writing, sourced research scaffolds, concepts, systems principles, analysis, futures, public artifacts, the Public Seed site source, and small navigation tools. The canonical research method formalizes the project’s route–synthesize–test–build workflow. Working, review-pending Epistemic Contrast and Deliberative Inquiry methods make the error-correcting layer explicit: broaden the model before convergence, route claims to stronger evidence and native methods, preserve dissent and uncertainty, and revise after observing consequences. The professional-refresh website is published, and this repository’s public documentation cleanup merged on October 23, 2026 (Pacific). The organization profile and registry corrections merged later on October 23, 2026 (Pacific), followed by the public Wiki projection. The approved organization bio and repository metadata repairs are live, and work-sample drafts retain their separate review state. The October 19 (UTC) professional-refresh website has exact-source approval and a successful GitHub Pages deployment. HTTPS apex and www responses match the generated release, and a browser load confirms the published page. This approval covers website presentation and mechanical publication-state substitutions; research papers and frameworks retain their own review status. The repository also temporarily hosts the public bootstrap seed for Commons of Inquiry & Creation under `incubator/`; that seed is explicitly non-canonical here, proposes a future standalone repository, and does not establish an operating institution. Maturity and evidence vary by document. Root Sequence is not a finished theory, validated universal model, deployed social system, or single doctrine.

# Root Sequence professional refresh

**Canonical progress checklist · started 2026-10-17 · Public documentation batch complete · Open-PR triage next**

This plan improves the public introduction to Root Sequence as an independent interdisciplinary research initiative started by Rae Lovejoy. Its exploratory writing, technical questions, social inquiry, and speculative work remain part of the project. The [research method](research/method.md), [repository map](root_map.md), and [ecosystem map](ECOSYSTEM.md) retain their existing authority.

The published profile reuses the approved site opening/invitation and project passages, preserves all six research limits, broadens Computing beyond OS-only scope, contextualizes the founder, retains AI/accessibility disclosure, fixes the fuller-explanation route, and labels both Liberated Intelligence and Liberation Mass private pending substantial revision. |
| [x] | P1-05 | done | Rae explicitly approved website publication on 2026-10-19 (UTC). | [x] | P1-06 | done | Repair the 15 existing reader-check failures: correct one relative link and connect fourteen existing T-003 supporting records from their current open-questions section. The checker now passes all 238 Markdown files. Paper findings, author review, and the independent-comparison boundary remain unchanged. |
| [ ] | P1-12 | to do | After P1-11, triage open PRs across Root Sequence against current main and their canonical homes. Read the diffs, check dependencies and overlap, and record a recommendation with evidence for each PR. Keep substantive research and governance proposals separate from routine maintenance. Merge and closure decisions remain individual review decisions; preserve superseded work before proposing closure. |
