The accounts team noticed that after bumping from version 1.13 to 2.2.2 we were unable to publish to our SNS topic using the SNS wrapper. We traced the problem to the bypassProxy argument for the SQS wrapper initializer, which is true by default. This was somehow bleeding over into the SNS behavior - once we set bypassProxy to false on the SQS wrapper, we were able to publish SNS events again.
