🧹 [Refactor zip compression configuration] - #245
Conversation
- Extracted inline closures from `register_compress` into standalone functions (`compress_zip`, `compress_unzip`, etc.) in `stdlib/src/compress.rs`. - Moved file system capability checks into the new standalone functions. - Updated `StdFunction` definitions to use the new standalone function references. - Ensures a cleaner registration flow, improving readability and maintainability without altering functionality or breaking tests. 🎯 What: Extracted inline execution logic and capability checks out of the
register_compressmethod instdlib/src/compress.rsinto independent standalone functions (compress_zip,compress_tar, etc.).💡 Why: The file system capabilities and execution logic heavily cluttered the registry, violating maintainability and readability standards. By extracting these closures into standalone functions, the configuration registration flow is cleanly isolated from execution details.
✅ Verification: Verified changes visually with
git diff. Rancargo test --workspace --all-targetsand observed no regressions or related failures.✨ Result: A simplified and easily readable
register_compressflow that is vastly easier to maintain without compromising system capabilities or error handling.PR created automatically by Jules for task 11081667075911626730 started by @Tcode-Motion
