Backend is the main focus. I learned the fundamentals before the frameworks, so when something breaks I have a decent idea where to look. Security and embedded hardware keep pulling me sideways, and I let them.
- PortSwigger Web Security Academy: working through the labs with Burp Suite. Learning how things fail is the fastest way to learn how to build them properly.
- OpenWRT on a router: early experiments with embedded Linux. Some of it works.
