I'm a Computer Engineering student at UERJ - IPRJ, focusing on the study of Computer Vision techniques in Video Processing. I particularly enjoy working on low-level programming, numerical mathematics and video processing tools.
Currently working on: VideoReconstruction, a tool for analyzing video compression data and it's applications on Computer Vision, which I plan to later scale as a 3D reconstruction system for video.
Projects:
- ASTF - A Simple Testing Framework, because modern test frameworks overengineer simple tools into oblivion
- yet_another_bf_interpreter - An exactly 100 LOC implementation of a Brainfuck interpreter built in a weekend
- OptimizedBilliard - A project for a class in college to try out the Julia language in a numerical optimization context
Tools & Technologies I Work With:
- Languages: C11 and Intel Assembly for programming, Octave for experimenting with math
- Tools for development: 4coder, WinDBG, IntelVTune
- Other tools: FFmpeg, LaTeX
Human Languages:
- Brazilian Portuguese: Native
- English: Near native (started learning when I was 5)
- German: Learning as a hobby, still very new to it
Personal Preferences/Opinions:
- AI usage: Accessory, can really help get the grunt work out of the way or learn faster
- Games: Puzzles, especially the ones from Zachtronics (tho Viewfinder is my all time favorite)
- C/C++ alternatives: Odin and Zig seem good, tried Rust for a few weeks but felt unusable
Philosophy:
Performance >= Simplicity >= Organization >>> everything else
Reinventing the wheel is a good idea if the wheel sucks
