docs(matrix): TypeScript keys hash through the Rust bindings from npm 0.2.2 (LAB-11096) - #228
@cachekit-io/cachekit 0.2.2 hashes cache keys through the Rust bindings, from cachekit-io/cachekit-ts#259. The matrix still said @noble/hashes.
sdk-feature-matrix.md, Blake2b-256 key generation, TypeScript cell: 0.2.2+ hashes with Rust blake2 through the NAPI binding on Node, and through the wasm binding on Workers once a cache there first instantiates the module (compression or encryption on). @noble/hashes gives the same digest and stays as the fallback: on Workers before that point and for hash input over 64 KiB, and for a binding that lacks blake2b256Hex, fails its self-test or throws. 0.2.1 and earlier hash with @noble/hashes only.
Note ¹ quoted the first wasm build: 137 KB raw, ~55 KB gzipped, ~10 KB of glue, wasm-opt -Oz. The published cachekit-core-wasm 0.2.1 is 186,188 B, 66,940 B at gzip -9, plus 27,654 B of glue (6,084 B gzipped), built with -O3 and simd128.
changelog.d/20261102_lab-11096.md: the fragment for both.
Verification (2026-11-02, published artifacts)
@cachekit-io/cachekit@0.2.2 pins cachekit-core-ts 0.2.1 and cachekit-core-wasm 0.2.1. 0.2.1 pins the 0.2.0 bindings and its dist/ has no blake2b256Hex.
Installed 0.2.2 on Node: usingKeyHashBinding() is true after importing the root entry.
cachekit-core-ts 0.2.1 blake2b256Hex("abc") and the published cachekit-core-wasm 0.2.1 .wasm (via initSync) both return bddd813c…d52319, the BLAKE2b-256 test vector. The wasm build also matches the SDK's 257-byte self-test digest.
The Workers claim follows initWasm in the shipped dist/workers/runtime.js. The ByteStorage constructor and the encryption bindings call it, and nothing else does. The tests are test/workers/key-hash.workers.test.ts and test/node-entry/older-core.test.ts at tag cachekit-v0.2.2.
python3 tools/check-version-floors.py and its mutation suite pass.
… 0.2.2
The Blake2b-256 key generation cell said @noble/hashes. The published
@cachekit-io/cachekit 0.2.2 pins cachekit-core-ts 0.2.1 and
cachekit-core-wasm 0.2.1, which export blake2b256Hex, and hashes keys
through them; @noble/hashes stays as the fallback with the same digest.
Note 1 quoted the first wasm build's sizes and wasm-opt -Oz. The
published core-wasm 0.2.1 is 186,188 B (66,940 B gzipped) plus 27,654 B
of glue, built with -O3 and simd128.

Summary by CodeRabbit
Documentation
Updated the changelog and SDK feature matrix with Blake2b-256 support details for the TypeScript package, including when it uses Rust bindings or falls back to @noble/hashes.
Clarified that versions 0.2.1 and earlier use @noble/hashes only.
Corrected the documented Workers package size and build optimisation details.
Walkthrough
The feature matrix and changelog now describe TypeScript Blake2b-256 support from version 0.2.2, including binding and fallback conditions. They also update the Workers wasm package size measurements and build options.

Summary
Document hashing paths and Workers package details sdk-feature-matrix.md, changelog.d/20261102_lab-11096.md
The feature matrix and changelog describe Rust binding and @noble/hashes fallback conditions for TypeScript Blake2b-256 keys. They update the Workers wasm and JavaScript glue size measurements and wasm build options.
The PR is otherwise mergeable, but the documentation should update its verification date and clarify the artifact-date and KV-rule wording.

Review comment at @sdk-feature-matrix.md at line 6:
Update the document’s “Last updated” header to the verification date 2026-11-02.
On the review-body follow-up (Last updated header): not changing. That line records the last full TypeScript pass, and single-row updates leave it alone, as the recent matrix PRs did. Per-row history is git log sdk-feature-matrix.md, and the changed cell carries its own check date.
