Summary

  • Agents read Interchange first (upstream LAYOUT.md and package READMEs, vendored vendor/intx-*, skills, and examples) before writing plugins, middleware, state, logging, authz, inference, tools, mail, fleet, or workflows.
  • AGENTS.md forbids reinventing harness INBOX / deliver, @intx/mailbox IMAP, FleetMailbox / occupancy, src/workflows coordinators, grant matching, and PendingOperation ask-park. If Interchange is missing a capability, stop and ask the operator.
  • Vendor policy is explicit: delete unused unpatched trees, install used unpatched packages from npm, keep patched packages (inference, types, storage-isogit, agent) vendored. Corbits owns TUI/exec chrome, sandbox policy, director cards, and MCP — not a second mail, fleet, or workflow OS.

Verification

  • oxfmt --check . and oxlint pass (0 warnings, 0 errors).
  • Pre-commit tsc --noEmit and bun build pass.
  • Diff is AGENTS.md only; conventions, tests, check, git, and pushing sections are unchanged.

This concept is strong but it's probably too much and will result in over steering
