Release on-prem 2026-10-14-002. #35 prepared it: on-prem/VERSION, .env.example, the generated compose files and the changelog entry are already on main. This sets the entry's release date, which #35 left as a 2026-10-21 placeholder.

The docs from #36 are already published and tell readers to upgrade to 2026-10-14-002, which has no tag or GitHub release until this is done.

Release

• on-prem/CHANGELOG.md: [2026-10-14-002] - 2026-10-21 becomes - 2026-10-27. Nothing else in the entry changes.
• The images are from currents release/2026-10-14-002, and they are in ECR.
• Chart 1.0.1 deploys the same images: release: 1.0.1 [ENG-1851] helm-charts#69.

Testing

• on-prem/VERSION on main is 2026-10-14-002, and prep-release: on-prem 2026-10-14-002 [ENG-1851] #35 checked that the compose files render it for the six Currents services.
• I timed the 20261021-drop-account-issuer-index migration from this release's Upgrade Notes on MongoDB 8.0, with 100 users whose accounts have issuer backfilled by hand. It took 3–6 ms; dropIndexes itself took 0–2 ms.

After merge

Tag on-prem/2026-10-14-002 from main and create the GitHub release, per the README.
