test(drive-abci): stop pinning the latest protocol version in the v0 shield-from-asset-lock refusal test - #5298
Conversation
…shield-from-asset-lock refusal test The test asserted `PlatformVersion::latest().protocol_version == 14`, so it broke as soon as #4760 was merged into v5.1-dev, where latest is 15. Version 0 stays refused from 14 on, and every other assertion already holds for any version from 14, so require `>= 14` instead. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

Final validation — Phase 1 + Phase 2
Verified the complete diff at eff1944 against the surrounding test, transition activation ranges, and protocol-version tables. The test-only relaxation correctly accommodates protocol version 15 while preserving the unpaid-refusal, untouched-asset-lock, successful-resubmission, and mempool-rejection assertions; no in-scope defects remain. Validation was static only, and Rust workspace tests were still queued in the supplied CI snapshot.

The
Testsworkflow onv5.1-devhas been red since #5296 mergedv5.0-devinto it (run 37356617091):The test came from #4760 on
v5.0-dev, where the latest protocol version is 14. It runs atPlatformVersion::latest()and asserts that this equals 14. Onv5.1-devthe latest version has been 15 since #5043, so the test fails even though no shielding code changed. What was done?
protocol_version >= 14. Version 0 is refused from protocol version 14 on.required_protocol_version() == 13and the current version, nothing is charged, the lock stays unspent and the v1 resubmission goes through.v5.0-dev→v5.1-devmerges don't conflict on it.How Has This Been Tested?
The test passes in this PR's CI, in the "Run shielded tests with cargo test" step of Rust workspace tests (run 37371982915).
