…--answers Cursor's agent runs commands in a real pseudo-terminal, so isTTY was true and the CLI animated for it: a spinner redrawing 12 times a second, streamed winget/npm progress, a 30 s ticker. The agent keeps what it reads in its chat history, stored in Cursor's state.vscdb, which grew too large for Cursor to open on a Windows user's machine (docs/incidents/2026-09-27-...). Harness markers (CURSOR_AGENT, CLAUDECODE, CODEX_SANDBOX, GEMINI_CLI) now turn off animation, streamed installer output, the update notice and prompts. init under an agent refuses the wizard and names the ask-the-user --answers path. tests/output.test.ts, written failing first. It includes a real pseudo-terminal run (script) ofdatacore initwithCURSOR_AGENT=1and checks four things:--answerspath;155/155 pass.
Note: three local commits on
