The Vercel project already selects Node 26, but the repository still overrides builds to Node 24 and generates Node 24 functions. Align package engines, .nvmrc (also used by both CI jobs), the Vercel adapter runtime, Node type definitions and setup documentation on Node 26.
Validation on Node 26.13.0: clean npm ci; application and Cypress type checks; 201 passing unit tests with coverage thresholds met; production build; generated functions explicitly configured as
nodejs26.x; patched browser sanitizer verification. Both GitHub CI jobs pass, including all 20 Cypress browser tests: https://github.com/durasj/chipsandcode/actions/runs/41535350396.The same upgrade is merged into
codex/signal-isles-redesign; both CI jobs also pass on that branch: https://github.com/durasj/chipsandcode/actions/runs/41535467709.Hosted verification remains blocked by Neon resource provisioning: prior Vercel previews failed before compilation with
Resource provisioning timed out. The database resource is ready, preview-only branching is configured and DATABASE_URL is present. No production data or domain changes.
