Summary

  • Prepare the annual PHP upgrade: require PHP 8.5 and test PHP 8.5/8.6.
  • Preserve existing Symfony support constraints.
  • Include the locally validated quality and compatibility repairs where required.

Local verification

  • Highest/lowest dependency workflow commands passed on PHP 8.5.12 and PHP 8.6.0RC3.
  • Highest-dependency code quality passed with endroid/quality dev-main 4f5b032 and Mago 1.59.0.
  • Existing test coverage varies by package; library functional-test commands may be no-ops. Detailed coverage and caveats are in the thread report.
  • GitHub Actions verification is pending; no merge is requested automatically.
