285-290: 🩺 Stability & Availability | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winExercise the started-stream path directly.
The current assertion passes when both
startedandstoppedare empty. The separate deadline test covers that no-start case. Runchat_rules.checkdirectly, wait for the stream-entry event, and then assert one start and one cancellation. This removesrun_turnsetup from the check deadline.Suggested fix

Review comment at @tests/test_rules_from_chat.py around lines 285 - 290: Update the attended-check test around `s.chat_rules.check` to exercise a stream that has actually started: signal stream entry with an event, call `check` directly in a task, wait for that signal, and then verify the check returns `None`, records exactly one start and cancellation, and clears `_checking`. Keep the assertion that no rules were added.

test_a_slow_claude_code_check_stops_instead_of_running_onfailed on Windows CI (#383) withstopped == [].Why it flaked: the check's deadline starts when the check starts, and the test gave it 50 ms. On a busy runner, now with tests running in parallel (#384), the refusing fast model and the session lookup can use those 50 ms. The check then ends before Claude Code is ever asked, so nothing is cancelled. That is still the correct behaviour (ADR 0022: never running in the background), but the test asserted that a cancel happened.

tests/test_rules_from_chat.py(51 passed), and the fixed test 5 times in a row.Summary by CodeRabbit
