Ran dotnet paket update group Test to pick up newer compatible transitive dependencies within existing paket.dependencies constraints (OpenTelemetry 1.15->1.19.1, Microsoft.Extensions.* 10.0.3->10.0.12, Microsoft.NET.Test.Sdk 18.0.1->18.10.1, NUnit3TestAdapter 6.1->6.3, System.Text.Json 10.0.3->10.0.12, etc). No direct dependency constraints in paket.dependencies changed, and paket.dependencies itself is untouched -- only paket.lock is refreshed. Note: an unrelated CRLF-only diff in .paket/Paket.Restore.targets was observed during paket update and reverted before committing (git line-ending normalization only, no content change). Changes
Ran
dotnet paket update group Testto refresh the resolved transitive dependency graph for theTestpaket group:OpenTelemetry/OpenTelemetry.Api1.15 → 1.19.1,Microsoft.Extensions.*10.0.3 → 10.0.12,Microsoft.NET.Test.Sdk18.0.1 → 18.10.1,NUnit3TestAdapter6.1 → 6.3,System.Text.Json10.0.3 → 10.0.12, and related transitive packages. No direct dependency version constraints in
paket.dependencieswere changed — onlypaket.lockwas refreshed to pick up newer compatible versions of transitive dependencies within existing constraints.Rationale
dotnet paket outdatedshowed the Test group's transitive dependencies were significantly behind since the last lock refresh in PR #1798 (2026-09-06/09-13). Keeping test infrastructure current picks up upstream bug/security fixes without any source code changes.Trade-offs
None identified — this only touches the
Testpaket group used for building/running the test suite; it does not affect the shipped NuGet packages.paket.dependenciesconstraints are unchanged, so this is a low-risk, reversible update.Test Status
dotnet run --project build/build.fsproj -t Build: ✅ succeeded, 0 errorsdotnet run --project build/build.fsproj -t RunTests: ✅ all 3952 tests passed (26 + 292 + 489 (1 skipped) + 3143 + 2), 0 failedCheckFormat: ✅ no formatting issuesNote: an unrelated CRLF-only diff was observed in
.paket/Paket.Restore.targetsduringpaket update(git line-ending normalization only, no content change) and was reverted before committing — not included in this PR.Note for maintainer: PR #1798 (the previous paket.lock refresh from 2026-09-06) is still open and unmerged. Once one of these two PRs is merged, the other will likely need a rebase or can be closed as superseded — please review #1798 alongside this PR.
