ci(workflows): Linux release build back in rust-regression-linux, warm macOS release deps (refs #3186) - #3187
Merged
Conversation
…m macOS release deps (refs #3186) - Move the IS #1850 release build steps back into rust-regression-linux and remove issue-1850-release-linux: its apt step took ~45 min on both PR #3185 runs (~32 kB/s) while the other Linux jobs fetched the same packages at 11-12 MB/s, and the build itself is only 7-15 min. - cache-warm: add warm-release-macos and verify-warm-release-macos (shared key gate-release-macos); issue-1850-release-macos restores it with save-if false, like gate-release on Windows.

Closes #3186
What
rust-regression-linux, where they ran before ci: cut PR regression gates wall time (split release #1850 and slow Windows test, one-shot ci:full, ci:local) #3184, andissue-1850-release-linuxis removed. Its apt step took ~45 min on both PR ci(workflows): cut PR regression gates wall time (refs #3184) #3185 runs (~32 kB/s fromazure.archive.ubuntu.com) while the other Linux jobs fetched the same packages at 11-12 MB/s in the same runs. The release build itself is only 7-15 min, so the split bought little.cache-warm.ymlgainswarm-release-macosandverify-warm-release-macos(shared keygate-release-macos);issue-1850-release-macosrestores it withsave-if: false, likegate-releaseon Windows. Only dependencies are cached; the crate itself (~33 min in release on macOS) still compiles on every run.Verification
actionlint1.7.12 clean on both workflows; YAML parses.rust-regression-linuxdiffed against its 1d7aceb (pre-ci: cut PR regression gates wall time (split release #1850 and slow Windows test, one-shot ci:full, ci:local) #3184) version: the only differences are the ones ci: cut PR regression gates wall time (split release #1850 and slow Windows test, one-shot ci:full, ci:local) #3184 meant to keep (nocargo check, feat: Serialize local config writes across processes (refs #1937) #1938 comment placement, renames, quoted step names, 1.98.1 step name).cache-warm.ymldispatched on this branch to prove the macOS warm and verify jobs run (branch-scoped cache; the real warm happens on the merge push to main).issue-1850-release-macoson this PR runs cold (timeout 60).Ruleset (at merge)
Remove
issue-1850-release-linuxfrom the required checks.
