Summary

  • replace the local declarative-agent-developer implementation with a thin plugin-to-plugin gateway that delegates the complete request to the WIQD plugin's wiqd skill
  • remove duplicated declarative-agent schema, capability, authentication, localization, and lifecycle references so WIQD is the single source of truth
  • document the WIQD plugin prerequisite using the default Awesome Copilot marketplace
  • bump the M365 Agents Toolkit plugin from v1.3.1 to v1.4.0 so consumers can discover the integration update
  • route broader SSO guidance through the DA entry skill instead of the removed local authentication reference

Validation

  • installed wiqd@awesome-copilot v0.18.0 from the default Awesome Copilot marketplace in a clean Copilot configuration
  • confirmed the WIQD skill loads successfully without the direct-install deprecation warning
  • reloaded microsoft-365-agents-toolkit@work-iq v1.4.0 and confirmed declarative-agent-developer loads successfully
  • ran a fresh Copilot CLI session with an explicit declarative-agent-developer request and observed declarative-agent-developer -> wiqd
  • confirmed WIQD selected workflows/wiqd-core.md Create flow
  • completed a separate WIQD create-to-provision E2E with create -> validate -> package -> provision -> show using the test010 tenant account
  • verified all 13 removed DA reference topics have corresponding sources in the WIQD plugin
  • verified the gateway description is 694 characters (1024 maximum)
  • confirmed all five marketplace/plugin manifest files parse successfully and report v1.4.0
  • ran git diff --check; PR contracts and CLA checks pass

Scope

This change only owns delegation after declarative-agent-developer is selected. Relative discovery priority between that skill and WIQD's directly discoverable wiqd skill is intentionally out of scope.

Replace the local declarative-agent implementation with a plugin-to-plugin gateway, remove duplicated DA guidance, and update plugin metadata and documentation.

Leave release version selection to the publishing workflow and keep this PR scoped to WIQD delegation.

State that the WIQD plugin must be installed and enabled before using the declarative agent entry skill.

Hi Sébastien Levert (@sebastienlevert), could you please review and approve this PR? Its purpose is to route Declarative Agent requests from the M365 Agents Toolkit plugin to the WIQD plugin, making WIQD the single owner of DA guidance and lifecycle execution. Thanks!

Use the WIQD marketplace installation flow and bump the toolkit plugin to 1.4.0 so consumers can discover the integration update.

Hi Sébastien Levert (@sebastienlevert), I addressed the installation and versioning feedback in a275a92:

  • switched from the deprecated direct repository install to the standard WIQD marketplace flow (copilot plugin marketplace add microsoft/wiqd followed by copilot plugin install wiqd@wiqd)
  • verified the flow from a clean Copilot configuration; WIQD v0.15.0 installed and loaded without the deprecation warning
  • bumped the M365 Agents Toolkit plugin from v1.3.1 to v1.4.0

The updated contracts and CLA checks are passing.

Use the default Awesome Copilot marketplace now that the WIQD external plugin pointer is available.

Hi Sébastien Levert (@sebastienlevert), the WIQD pointer is now available in Awesome Copilot. I updated the README in 1ac046f to use the final one-line installation flow:

copilot plugin install wiqd@awesome-copilot

I validated it from a clean Copilot configuration: WIQD v0.18.0 installed successfully, the skill loaded, and all PR checks pass.
