feat(bindings): every binding names itself in SETUP - #6775
Every binding now names itself in the SETUP Implementation parameter ahead of the Rust core, so an auth service can tell a Python client from a Swift one: moq-py/0.6.0 moq-ffi/0.4.12 moq-net-rs/0.3.10.
Finishes quest/m1/binding-peer-version.md.
Changes
moq-ffi: MoqClientConfig and MoqServerConfig gain implementation, the caller's product tokens joined ahead of moq-ffi/<v> moq-net-rs/<v>. An empty token or stray whitespace fails new with Config. The wasm client honors it too. MoqRequest::peer_implementation() reads what the client advertised.
moq-c: sessions advertise moq-c/<v> moq-net-rs/<v>; moq_client_config and moq_server_config append an implementation prefix, and moq_session_request_peer_implementation reads the peer's.
Wrappers set their own token from their package version:
moq-py: importlib.metadata.version("moq-rs"), dev from a source tree. Request.peer_implementation.
moq-go: the module version Go embeds in the binary's build info (dev for a source-tree or replaced build). Request.PeerImplementation().
moq-kt: generated at build time from the moq.version Gradle property. Moq.connect and Server.listen keep a caller's implementation ahead of moq-kt/<v>, since the config is the raw record.
moq-swift and moq-dart: a dev placeholder in source, stamped by sh/swift/package.sh and sh/dart/package.sh (the same pattern as moq_ffi's ffiVersion and JS's version.ts). Request.peerImplementation.
cpp/moq: every type is generated, so it exports moq::IMPLEMENTATION (moq-cpp/<v>, from a CMake-generated moq/version.hpp) for callers to set; doc/lib/cpp says so.
OBS: moq-obs/<v> moq-cpp/<v> on both the output and the source. PLUGIN_VERSION_STRING is now defined for every build, not only the Qt dock's.
Regenerated dart/moq_ffi. Each binding's connect test asserts the advertised value starts with its own token, read back through the server's request.
moq-c (additive, appended so a zeroed struct keeps working): implementation/implementation_len on moq_client_config and moq_server_config, moq_session_request_peer_implementation.
Wrappers (additive): the request accessor in each; moq::IMPLEMENTATION in C++.
Choices made unattended
Added a peer accessor on the request. The quest scoped one config field, but its tests read the value back "through a local server's peer accessor", and none existed. MoqRequest mirrors moq-tokio's Request::peer_implementation, available before accept like path/query, which is where an auth decision is made.
Wrappers with their own config types do not expose a caller prefix (py, go, swift, dart). Nothing needs it yet; Kotlin, C, and C++ pass the raw config, so there the caller's tokens go first.
moq-c keeps the prefix field the quest planned, though its stated consumers (cpp/moq, OBS) now sit on moq-ffi: it keeps moq-c's config mirroring moq-ffi's.
Product token names: moq-py, moq-go, moq-kt, moq-swift, moq-dart, moq-c, moq-cpp, moq-obs, with dev where no version is available at build time, matching moq-net-js/dev.
Checks
just check passes.
just py test, just kt check, just go check, just dart check, just cpp check, just obs compile, just obs check, and the OBS unit tests (sh/obs/unit.sh plain) pass locally.
just test interop --all and just rs wasm pass.
Not run: Swift (no toolchain on this Linux host); CI covers it.
No actionable new bugs found. Wrappers prepend their identity while native bindings consistently append their own and the core token. Prefix validation, native/wasm propagation, generated Dart serialization, package-version stamping, and OBS caller migrations are internally consistent. Capturing peer identity on the request is a useful, narrowly scoped addition; the documentation correctly treats it as untrusted telemetry.
Verification: GitHub source/diff inspection only; I did not run builds, tests, packaging, or cross-language interoperability checks. Existing broad FFI dependency floors remain a release-integration concern, not a new finding in this change.
The change adds implementation-token configuration and peer-identifier access across the Rust APIs and language bindings. Wrappers set versioned identifiers, and tests check identifiers advertised in SETUP. Build and packaging scripts generate or stamp package versions. The C++ documentation is updated, and the completed binding-version quest entry and planning document are removed.

Explanation
The title "feat(bindings): every binding names itself in SETUP" describes the main change: each language binding now advertises its own product token in the SETUP Implementation parameter ahead of the Rust core tokens. It is specific and concise, and it matches the summary, the description, and the objectives. The conventional-commit prefix is acceptable.
Full details: Description check
Explanation
The description states the change directly: each binding names itself in the SETUP Implementation parameter, with an example token string. It lists the per-binding changes (moq-ffi, moq-c, the wrappers, OBS, and the regenerated dart/moq_ffi), the public API and wire impact, and the checks run. It is consistent with the raw summary and the objectives.

Maintainer decision (2026-10-25): the hand-written moq-c ships at this cut with parity for every m1 binding feature, so keep the moq-c half. Please correct the quest text saying its consumers moved to moq-ffi (the generated C line is now m2; see moq-dev/moq#6798).
