quest: plan the 2026-11-02 spawn's follow-ups - #444
Conversation
Plan the follow-ups the spawn's 37 agents suggested that evidence showed are real: a missing srt seccomp helper that lets opencode jobs reach the Nix daemon, a Claude Code boundary test, rechecking head trust when a job queues, reviewer usage-limit exits, drafts in quest waiting, unambiguous decision records, releasing session checkouts, an upstream claude rm report awaiting approval, and a release with the worktree hooks. Point the Claude boundary test's fake model through the account's user settings, scope the seccomp goal to socket creation with an inherited-fd check, define review's quota exit contract, bound and recover a SessionEnd release, keep unblock's per-draft hold check, and order the release's SETUP.md caveat and package.json bump. Plans the follow-ups that the 2026-11-02
/quest-spawnsession's 37 agents suggested and that evidence showed are real problems. Partway through, the user asked the coordinator to stop interviewing them one by one: "you just decide the follow-ups please. Check the merge history and transcripts to figure out if these are real problems and decide how to fix them". So the user answered F1–F4 and F5's milestone, and the coordinator decided the rest from merge history, GitHub, the code, and the maintainer's Claude Code and Codex transcripts.New quests
m0, in the kix sandbox epic
kix/sandbox/seccomp.md(urgent). nixpkgs'sandbox-runtime0.0.81 ships without itsapply-seccomphelper, so srt runs with Unix-socket blocking disabled. Run with the runner's settings, nix store ping --store daemonsucceeded inside srt, andkixelatedis a trusted Nix user. A job's commands could therefore reach the daemon's root-level options. No runner was deployed on this host yet. Ranked first in the epic. srt's always-writable/tmp/claudeis folded in, along with a check that a command inherits no Unix socket besides its stdio, since the filter blocks only creating one.kix/sandbox/claude-boundary.md. Claude Code jobs get test(runner): check the opencode sandbox's boundary in CI #404's hostile-repository test, with a fake model set as the account's endpoint in its home's user settings, since the runner strips an ambientANTHROPIC_BASE_URL. It requires the seccomp fix and test(runner): check the opencode sandbox's boundary in CI #404's test, whose probe and layout it reuses. A check thatTMPDIRpoints inside the job's directory is folded in.kix/sandbox/trust-on-queue.md. Raised by feat(kix): approve an exact PR head for host runners #402; the user approved the goal and m0.m0, elsewhere
review-quota.md.quest reviewexits with a distinct status on a reviewer's usage limit and prints the reset time: exit 3 and one stderr line with an ISO 8601 reset orunknown. Raised by docs(guide): block on long waits, record pre-existing failures, and wait out reviewer outages #411; the user approved the goal and m0.waiting-drafts.md.quest waitingalso lists open draft PRs'## Waitingitems, and/quest-unblockkeeps its per-draft hold check. Raised by docs(guide): block on long waits, record pre-existing failures, and wait out reviewer outages #411; the user approved the goal and m0.decision-records.md. Recorded decisions label the rejected options. Raised by feat(skills): keep /quest-spawn finding work and resume leftover branches #416; the user approved the goal and m0.session-checkouts.md.SessionEndandSessionStarthooks release and reclaim a session's checkout. TheSessionEndtimeout covers a measured release, and a release that fails or is cut short stays reserved until the nextSessionStartfinishes it. Claude's own session worktrees already pile up: 32 in moq.pro, 21 in moq, 3 here. Raised by fix(worktree): check out PR heads and release workflow agents' checkouts #425.claude-rm-upstream.md. File an anthropics/claude-code issue aboutclaude rmadvisinggit worktree unlock. No existing upstream issue covers it. It waits on the maintainer's approval to post outside the two orgs.m1
release.md. v0.1.0 lacksquest worktree hook, so SETUP.md's release routes install hooks that fail. The quest's first step adds that caveat to SETUP.md, and the release bumpspackage.jsonbefore tagging. moq-dev's repositories all pin through the flake, so this matters only to third-party adopters. Raised by feat(claude): install the worktree hooks in this repository #423.Fixed in their own PRs instead
Each of these is relevant to the PR that raised it, so the evidence went to that PR as a comment for its next iterate:

origin/mainatd7ef15ec. The m0 and kix sandbox link lists dropped the quests main finished (head-approval,follow-ups-as-reports,prompt-context,coordinator-control,spawn-refill) and took main's rewrittenworktree-routesentry.release.mdnow notes that moq-dev/quest#425 landed while #423 is still open. The rest of the new quests were rechecked against what landed and still hold: kix still rechecks trust only at assignment after #402, the flake's srt still has noapply-seccompafter #435, the skills still label no rejected options after #416, and the README documents session checkouts as unreleased after #425.Review
