• Re-land #341 (openBenches handoff environment) in v1.2.0, with its review's fixes

  opensoft/openRepoTools#343 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 26, 2026 · v1.2.0

• --install: a SIGINT can still leave the workdir or the receipt's temporary behind, or end in a false bash parse error and exit 2

• Optional hardening: step 4 of the handoff skill does not refuse while step 2's publish refusal is pending, so a session that runs both blocks in one shell without set -e writes the swap over it

  opensoft/openRepoTools#340 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 24, 2026 · v1.2.0

• The no-origin notes in lanes_rows and worktree_rows say a log directory "could not be listed" where an r-- (0400) one lists fine and the search is what fails, and tests pin the wrong words

  opensoft/openRepoTools#339 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 24, 2026 · v1.2.0

• Words only: with no workstation on R7's path, README-lanes, lane-handoff and the handoff skill still say the swap's records were written and the handoff refreshed, when neither was

  opensoft/openRepoTools#338 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 24, 2026 · v1.2.0

• lane-handoff and the handoff skill take the last of the eight fields workstation prints as its source, so container-unset never matches and a container with no LANES_WORKSTATION is not caught

  opensoft/openRepoTools#337 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 24, 2026 · v1.2.0

• #77's three-wide branch: tests.yml says PINNED, BOTH while execnet floats, and three other comment and consistency NITs from its check

• Spelled counts that #58's hygiene rule cannot read stay in 17 comment lines and one test name

• Tests: Inventory.norm applies TREE_ID before it takes out the sandbox root, so two test_lanes_index tests fail when the run root path holds a segment like c302-309-work

• rename-lane reads a control root that turned unsearchable mid-rename as having no restart history, so a completed restart intent moves to the new name and reads INCOMPLETE there (follow-up to #309)

• An interrupted --install leaves ~/.claude/settings.json.openrepotools.XXXXXX behind: hook_write_settings' temporary is in no trap's reach, before or after #250's

opensoft/openRepoTools#332 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• --install asks about a link at ~/.claude/settings.json once, in planning: hook_pair_merge and hook_pair_defer chmod through one made since, and hook_write_settings renames over it

• Restart commands the estate prints or documents in a form its own skill calls wrong: lane-handoff's refusal, the manual's late-record block, and a bare $why

opensoft/openRepoTools#330 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• swapped ranks a lane by a key built from its log file's spelling, so a PAUSED line spelled differently never matches and the lane sorts by time alone

opensoft/openRepoTools#329 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• CI never runs a zsh case: every zsh variant of the handoff-skill tests is skipped on the runners

opensoft/openRepoTools#328 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• lane-handoff and the handoff skill rename the window with none of lane-start's fences, and the skill renames before any record is written

opensoft/openRepoTools#327 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• After an older lane-start refuses --bind, the guard has already renamed the window, yet its refusal says the window has not moved and the offer is kept

opensoft/openRepoTools#326 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• The cross-profile holder scan reads two fixed directories and carries on at exit 2, so lane-start can miss a live holder and move its transcript

opensoft/openRepoTools#325 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• canon_lane's exit 66 is flattened to 2 at 41 call sites, and the restart skill's lread reads every exit 2 as "no answer"

opensoft/openRepoTools#324 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• Five readers of a lane's session ids still turn an unreadable register into "no ids", and two refusals name the wrong read

opensoft/openRepoTools#323 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• superseded_by lets a dead lane's standing TAKEOVER displace the live lane that took over from it once that lane writes anything but a TAKEOVER

opensoft/openRepoTools#322 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• place_skill_and_hook's refusals say the skills and the command files are not placed, which is false once a file before the refused one is placed

• go() in the #241 tests inherits the caller's locale, so the rows that expect a misdrawn character in a directory to be refused pass or fail by the developer's own charmap

opensoft/openRepoTools#320 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• lane-handoff's ri_field is dead code in #280's shape: restart-intent piped into an awk that exits early, under pipefail, with no caller

opensoft/openRepoTools#319 · Filter by author brettheap opened on Oct 23, 2026

• --install still waits in $(…) where a SIGINT can be lost: mode_is's find, the dirname of each mkdir -p in place_skill_and_hook, and pipx_link_match's link_venv
