Report the real error when a connection setup query fails after the connection has gone. - #10741
If the session setup or version query in Connection._initialize() fails whilst self.conn is already None, the cleanup calls close() on it and the user gets an AttributeError ('Something went wrong') instead of the query's error. Both cleanup branches now only close the connection if it is still there.
This does not fix the underlying ERD Tool failure reported in #10728, which I couldn't reproduce; it makes the real error visible so that it can be diagnosed.
Test plan
New utils.driver.psycopg3.tests.test_initialize_conn_gone (fails with the AttributeError without the change, passes with it)
--pkg utils.driver and --pkg tools.erd pass against PostgreSQL 18
Improved connection initialization when a connection is lost during setup. Setup and version-query failures now avoid attempting to close a connection that is already gone, while still reporting the error and clearing the connection state.
Tests
Added regression coverage for connection loss during either setup query, including verification that initialization stops at the failure and does not attempt to close the dropped connection.
…onnection has gone.
If the session setup or version query in Connection._initialize() failed
whilst the connection had already been dropped, the cleanup called close()
on None, so the user saw an AttributeError and "Something went wrong" in
place of the query's own error. Only close the connection if it is still
there.
This does not fix whatever is making the query fail in the ERD Tool; it
makes that error visible so it can be diagnosed.

Connection initialization now checks that self.conn exists before closing it in setup-SQL and version-query error paths. Regression tests cover both cases where the connection has already been cleared and verify that initialization returns the query error without calling close().

Summary
Guard cleanup and test failure paths web/pgadmin/utils/driver/psycopg3/connection.py, web/pgadmin/utils/driver/psycopg3/tests/test_initialize_conn_gone.py
Both error paths close the connection only when it is set. Regression tests cover setup-SQL and version-query failures after the connection is cleared. They verify the error is returned and close() is not called.
pgadmin-org/pgadmin4 issue 10728: The change guards the self.conn.close() error described in the issue, but does not resolve the underlying ERD Tool failure.

- Line 775: Update the initialization-query failure path in Connection.connect()
so clearing self.conn does not bypass SSH tunnel cleanup. Ensure
manager.stop_ssh_tunnel() is called only when the failing connection owns the
tunnel and no other connection still needs it; establish the existing ownership
or sharing state before changing the cleanup behavior, and preserve the (False,
status) return.
- Around line 789-790: Separate version-query failures from credential failures
in the connection flow around self.conn.close(): ensure non-credential query
failures do not reach the ERD ConnectionLost handler as password challenges or
return HTTP 428 with prompt_password enabled. Reserve prompt_password for
credential recovery so ERDTool does not retry initialization after unrelated
query failures.
