fix(compute): move Composer's config into the composer section of prisma.config.ts - #8629
Conversation
…sma.config.ts Composer 0.26.0 reads its config only from the composer section of prisma.config.ts and refuses the separate config file. Each template now declares the section, the separate file is deleted, and the pins move to the current prisma CLI and the Composer and ORM releases it uses. - prisma 8.0.0-rc.22, @prisma/composer and @prisma/composer-prisma-cloud 0.29.1, alchemy 2.0.0-beta.78, @prisma/orm-postgres 8.0.0-rc.17 - ORM upgrade steps for rc.8 to rc.17: schema header, @@Map for the existing lowercase tables, re-emitted contracts, rewritten migration snapshots and an empty migration for the new foreign-key index field - seed.ts creates users with create() because upsert() no longer runs nested relation writes - hono and personal-site set dependencies: 'external' because node() now defaults to copying only the build output - bun.lock resolves one arktype (2.2.8); two copies made contract emit fail with CONTRACT.VALIDATION_FAILED - the compute test asserts the section and the new pins, and boots each assembled bundle from a copy outside the repository Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

… user Two seed runs against one database can both miss the lookup; the second create() then fails on user_email_key. That conflict now counts as the user already being there; every other error still fails the seed. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Moves the four Prisma Compute templates (
compute/hono,compute/nextjs,compute/tanstack-start,compute/personal-site) to thecomposersection ofprisma.config.ts, which is the only config Prisma Composer (Early Access) reads since v0.26.0, and moves their pins to the currentprismaCLI and the Composer and ORM releases it uses.Merge after Console's template deploy reads the composer section of prisma.config.ts in production; @wmadden can confirm.
Why
On
latest, the current CLI refuses the templates. In unmodifiedcompute/tanstack-start(bun install --frozen-lockfile --ignore-scripts, thennpx --yes prisma@8.0.0-rc.22 dev module.ts), exit code 2, fields from the JSON result:The

The tanstack-start 500 comes from vitest'sNODE_ENV=testreachingvite build, which then emitsjsxDEVcalls; a build withoutNODE_ENVemits none. The service process receives onlyCOMPOSER_WEB_PORT,COMPOSER_WEB_ORIGINandCOMPOSER_WEB_DB_URL; Composer's runtime exposes the database URL asCOMPOSER_DB_URLbefore the app boots, which is whatsrc/prisma/db.tschecks, so itsDATABASE_URLfallback is not used.
