Summary

  • The root .dockerignore excludes node_modules/ and **/node_modules/. The front image build context is the repository root, so front/.dockerignore does not apply. package.json and package-lock.json stay in the context.
  • tools/scripts/check-root-dockerignore.sh fails while either pattern is missing.

Test plan

  • bash tools/scripts/check-root-dockerignore.sh failed before the patterns were added and exits 0 after.

Fixes #114

The front image builds from the repository root, so front/.dockerignore
does not apply. Installed dependency trees were sent to the daemon.
