🌐 Web query:
Homebrew formula typdiff brewforge/more tap formulae.brew.sh
💡 Result:
`typdiff` is listed as a **cask** in the `brewforge/more` tap—not as a formula, and it doesn’t appear in Homebrew’s official formula listing. ([github.com](https://github.com/Brewforge/homebrew-more?utm_source=openai))
Install it with:
```sh
brew install --cask brewforge/more/typdiff
```
The tap’s instructions also show `brew tap brewforge/more` first. ([github.com](https://github.com/Brewforge/homebrew-more?utm_source=openai))

Use the tap-qualified cask command.
typdiff is not a Homebrew/core formula. The brewforge/more tap provides it as a cask, so the documented command does not work on a fresh Homebrew setup.

Thank you for sending the PR. In typdiff, we include binaries with GitHub Releases, and I cannot personally guarantee the authenticity of binaries located elsewhere. I recognize that balancing ease of use with supply chain security is important, and I recommend using mise as the solution. As shown at https://mise.jdx.dev/dev-tools/backends/github.html, when specifying a GitHub Backend in mise, verification is performed using the GitHub Attestation mechanism (slsa); therefore, I believe it is superior among current package managers. For these reasons, I will not add this to the README at this time. Thank you for your understanding. |
Typdiff is now available to install using Homebrew.
Instructions for a custom Tap can be removed now that the formula is part of Core.
