Your purpose in using this API:
Our website provides Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Seerah, and Islamic learning tools to a global audience, completely free of charge. We currently use free CDN-based hadith datasets, but these have known gaps in certain areas (particularly the Introduction/Muqaddimah sections of some collections, and full coverage of collections like Musnad Ahmad and Sunan ad-Darimi). We would like to use the Sunnah.com API/data dump to fill these gaps and ensure the highest accuracy for the authentic Islamic content we provide to our users worldwide.
API rate limits:
Maximum requests per second: 1-2
Maximum requests per day: 1,000
Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
An offline dump would be ideal for our use case, since we import hadith data into our own WordPress database for long-term hosting and fast access to our users. Programmatic API access would also be useful later for periodic sync/corrections.
What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
Arabic and English.
