## The active bundle

Bundle 36: live prompt 27, report prompt 20, rubric 1, report schema 3.
Bundle 37: live prompt 28, report prompt 22, rubric 1, report schema 3.

| Bundle | Introduced |
|---|---|
| 37 | The signed token metadata carries the coding-only Example drawing opt-in. Disabled sessions omit drawing instructions, read_board and drawing assessment policy, and refuse drawing streams and controls. Report salvage removes drawing-related sentences and retains schema-required omission notes without changing scores or decisions; unrelated invalid fields still fail validation. Live prompt 28 and report prompt 22; rubric and report schema are unchanged. |
| 36 | The live `read_editor` guidance says that before any editor snapshot the editor holds only the starter, which needs no read, so the opening turns do not wait on a tool round trip to see it. The `earlierSteps` reminder asks for an unrecorded earlier step with the next evidence call rather than before speaking, so it no longer adds a second tool round ahead of the reply. A turn that answered the candidate with tool calls alone and said nothing is followed by one note that asks for the reply if one is due; Jim may still answer it with silence, but not with nothing, since the note is owed a completed turn. At a typed editor the interviewer is no longer given `record_framework_evidence`, each call of which held its reply back by a second model pass, and is told that the platform records every step and says so in a system event. There, test runs no longer carry the `earlierSteps` reminder, and a rewrite after the complexity was given asks only whether it still holds. The phase judge records Repeat, Example, Algorithm, Coding and Optimizations from the candidate's words and editor as before, keeping the first three open after Coding while a step about the code is, Test from their hand trace while nothing can run the written code, and the four STAR steps from what they say inside the behavioral round; its instruction defines those steps, lets it quote a coding-round step from a comment the candidate typed to explain it, and lets it report a declined probe. The platform writes the end-of-session skips for STAR steps a started round left without evidence, which the wrap-up used to ask the interviewer for, except where the judge found the probe declined, and there the coding round leaves 8 of the 48 judgments for a behavioral round still to come. A whiteboard interviewer keeps the tool and its wording, since the judge is not shown the board. A coding silence nudge says whether the candidate has written code, instead of offering branches for an empty editor and for code that leave the interviewer reading the editor to choose between them; it says nothing is written only when the editor holds just the starter or nothing, asks them to begin coding once understanding, example and algorithm are all recorded, and leaves the choice to the editor for edits too small to count or too long to compare. The `read_editor` guidance adds that a language named aloud needs no read, since choosing it on the tabs sends its own event. The report prompt, rubric and report schema are unchanged. |
| 35 | The live interviewer receives the same worked examples shown on the candidate's screen, generated from the problem bank. When the candidate hides examples, their contents are omitted from the live prompt. Live prompt 26; the report prompt, rubric and report schema are unchanged. |
| 34 | Optional English accent directions are appended by the live prompt builder without changing the original interview instructions. Default adds no text. Voice and accent Random choices are resolved independently before token issuance and retained for the interview and reconnects. Live prompt 25; report prompt 20, rubric 1 and report schema 3 are unchanged from bundle 33. The server stamps the resolved `interviewerVoice` and `interviewerAccent` after report generation, including incomplete reports. Default voice records the configured Gemini voice; Default accent records Default. These optional provenance fields are normalized at the browser sanitizer, following bundle 7, without changing scores or existing field semantics. Reports without them remain readable without inventing missing interviewer settings. |

each Live socket therefore receives one presence frame and no more; during speech frames keep the
five-second interval. Board images take their own path and are unaffected.

Coding example drawings are opt-in in the lobby and disabled by default.
The choice is carried in signed token metadata and applies to the Live tool
declarations, instructions, interim and final report policy, and board stream
acceptance. Disabled coding sessions carry none of that drawing prompt or tool
overhead and refuse board streams. The first version offers pen, eraser, undo and clear. Shapes and redo are not
part of this version. The browser syncs JPEGs to the server's bounded board
cache; these local edits do not enter Gemini Live. Coding camera frames keep
the presence policy above. Only a `read_board` call sends the latest example
JPEG through realtime image input before its JSON tool response. The interviewer
calls it when the candidate refers to the drawing, never for an unreferenced
sketch. Changes, drawing handovers and reconnects send zero example images to
Gemini; each tool batch requesting a drawing sends at most one current JPEG.
A read waits at most 100 ms for pending local streams. Offline browsers retain
edits without repeated JPEG encoding and sync them on reconnect. After an
explicit read, the image remains in the live context and is billed on later
turns; auxiliary drawings are excluded from final report requests.
Coding and communication retain their original rubric and conversation evidence;
there is no drawing-related credit or deduction. The report must not infer
understanding from an image or the interviewer's account of one, including
rolling notes that paraphrase visual observations as an explanation. References
to drawings in assessment feedback enter the existing bounded repair loop;
the same guard applies to a salvaged response. If repairs repeat those words,
salvage removes the visual sentences, replacing fully removed schema-required
feedback with an omission note and keeping linked practice text consistent.
Scores and decisions remain unchanged; unrelated invalid fields are not repaired. The final image is displayed
separately as a session artifact. This changes no call budget and no Whiteboard
scoring rule.
Whiteboard mode keeps its existing image input with camera forwarding disabled
from the start.

Coding drawing activity restarts the browser's turn ring using the published
speech silence window. New ink or concurrent speech resets the countdown;
after silence, the page waits at most two seconds to share the visible drawing
and sends one explicit drawing yield. A failed upload still yields, and new
activity, a pause, thinking time or a disconnected interviewer cancels a yield
that is waiting on the upload. A drawing-only yield requests a brief response
even without an audio turn; it does not send an image. With a spoken turn still open, the note is delivered
as context and the audio turn is ended, allowing the existing reply fallback
to recover silence instead of asking for two replies. Drawings still grant no
assessment evidence. Whiteboard turn taking is unchanged.

Final reporting has a shared hard budget of five Gemini HTTP calls across
initial generation, up to two semantic repairs, and transient retries. The
counter is consumed immediately before the network request. Authentication
