Design note for the multiprocessor Octane work: SC becomes a host CAS of the LL'd value at the physical address; the per-line ownership-tracking byte was considered and rejected (hot-path cost, false sharing, remote LL clobbering, non-atomic check-then-store). Lists the real MP prerequisites: data-less caches, width-exact write64_masked, 8-byte aligned RAM, per-host memory ordering, cross-CPU code invalidation. (cherry picked from commit 8d45e13) Rebased onto main, where the monitor's system commands live in the Workstation trait (src/workstation.rs) rather than on Machine: status, start_guest and stop_guest are provided methods of the trait, backed by lifecycle/set_lifecycle accessors, so the O2 (IP32) gets machine-status and the idempotent machine-start as well.
