FIX2INT does not call to_int where int and long have the same size, so `method(:puts).curry(1r)` waited for a garbage number of arguments on Windows. Convert the arity once and keep the result as a Fixnum, which also limits the to_int call to one.
It also counts the to_int calls, so it fails on LP64 platforms too, where the old code converted the arity again on every call.
NUM2INT already takes the Fixnum path by itself.
Ruby 1.9.1 dropped DJGPP, Windows CE and VMS, NeXTSTEP, OpenStep and Rhapsody went in 2011, and Ruby 2.3 dropped OS/2, BeOS and Borland C. None of these names appears in RUBY_PLATFORM or host_os on a supported platform. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
