The central learning repository for observers, student controllers, and pilots operating within Philippine airspace.
This knowledge base serves as the official reference guide for procedures and systems used within the Manila Flight Information Region (FIR) and the Manila Area Control Center (ACC). It covers ATC theory, local procedures, and pilot operations specific to the Philippine vACC (VATPHIL).
Inspired by Gander Oceanic's knowledge base, this site is built on MkDocs Material by squidfunk.
All VATPHIL controllers and staff members are eligible to contribute. Contributions from unverified accounts will not be merged.

Navigate to the
docs/folder and make your changes.Directory Purpose briefings/Aerodrome and FIR briefings, live traffic, NOTAMs, charts and routes classroom/Theory lessons (phraseology, procedural control, RVSM, SIDs/STARs, VFR, weather) controllers/Controller how-tos, plugins and CPDLC Map data under
docs/assets/data/is generated by the scripts intools/. The NOTAMs page data (notams.json) is refreshed automatically every hour by the build workflow; runpython tools/build_notams.pyto refresh it locally. The briefing chart lists (charts.json) come from vatphil.com: a watcher workflow checks them every 5 minutes and rebuilds the site when a chart is added, renamed or removed. -
Open a pull request including your Name and VATSIM CID for verification.
Tip
Each directory contains a .pages YAML file that controls page titles and display order. Update this when adding new pages.
