fix(cache): define the doctrine_cache redis connection used by the Doctrine result cache - #642
Conversation
…ctrine result cache The doctrine_redis store points at the doctrine_cache connection, which database.php did not define, so every result cache read and write failed silently and getAllowedBadgeFeatures() always hit MySQL. Add the connection on its own database (5, REDIS_DOCTRINE_CACHE_DB) so doctrine:clear:result:cache only flushes that database.

Code reviewNo issues found. Checked for bugs and CLAUDE.md compliance. Note (below reporting threshold): defining summit-api/app/Models/Foundation/Summit/Registration/Attendees/SummitAttendee.php Lines 1404 to 1406 in 2657668 and is only evicted from the registration import path: summit-api/app/Services/Model/Imp/SummitOrderService.php Lines 4785 to 4787 in 2657668 Changes to badge type features, promo code badge features or ticket activation may therefore be reflected up to 10 minutes late (serializer and extra-question permission checks). This matches the original design, but it is a behavior change in production after a long period without caching. 🤖 Generated with Claude Code - If this code review was useful, please react with 👍. Problem
The Doctrine result cache goes to the `doctrine_redis` store, whose connection is `doctrine_cache`. `config/database.php` did not define it, so every result cache read/write failed (Laravel throws "Redis connection [doctrine_cache] not configured", Symfony's adapter swallows it). `SummitAttendee::getAllowedBadgeFeatures()` always hit MySQL, `evictAllowedBadgeFeaturesCache()` had nothing to evict, and both `doctrine:clear:result:cache` steps of each deploy failed silently.
Change
Before deploy
In a php pod of stage and production:
Do not point the store at `cache`/`default`: the deploy's `doctrine:clear:result:cache` is a FLUSHDB and both use db 0.
After deploy
Risk
Once the cache works, `allowed_features` can be up to 600 s stale: only `upsertAttendeeExtraQuestionAnswers` evicts (not badge/badge type feature edits or ticket payment/refund/reassignment changes). Out of scope here, as per the task.
Tests
`tests/Unit/Services/` (263 tests) passes locally.
