…batim Unmodified copies, not yet compiled, so a reviewer can diff the adaptation that follows against upstream: - quinn-rs/quinn 7616e6b2782722f3ce4a1b181ef08817d7f545e4 quinn/src -> rs/moq-tokio/src/quic/driver (lib.rs -> mod.rs), the commit moq-quic forked from. - moq-dev/noq e27c0ce00741d81c8620b98e345d4f2c88e0768c web-transport-moq/src -> rs/moq-tokio/src/quic/web (lib.rs -> mod.rs). Drop every moq-noq dependency. moq-tokio's QUIC backend now drives moq-quic through quinn's async layer (`quic::driver`) with web-transport-moq folded in as `quic::web`; moq-uring's sans-IO driver moves from moq-noq-proto to moq-quic. Upstream noq stays only behind moq-tokio's `iroh` feature. - The `noq` cargo feature is `quic` everywhere it was forwarded. - `moq_tokio::noq::Error` is `moq_tokio::quic::Error`; `Error::Noq` is `Error::Quic`. - moq-quic takes `moq_clock::Instant` and raises a once-per-connection Draining endpoint event, which backs the driver's `wait_all_draining`. - qlog writes one trace per endpoint (per dial on moq-uring's connect side), since moq-quic holds one sink per transport config. - Session stats report the congestion controller's bandwidth estimate. The capsule reader maps a lost stream to UnexpectedEnd, so every ordinary session close warned "failed to read capsule". A read error while the connection is closed is now debug; one on a live connection still warns. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Advertise and validate the reset_stream_at transport parameter, encode and decode RESET_STREAM_AT, keep retransmitting stream data below the Reliable Size while abandoning the rest, and withhold the receive-side reset until the prefix has been read. SendStream::reset_at takes the Reliable Size and fails before touching the stream when the peer did not negotiate it. Also stops a stopped reset stream from crediting its unread data twice. moq-tokio and moq-uring reset a WebTransport stream with RESET_STREAM_AT covering the stream header, so the peer can still tell which session the reset belongs to. A peer without the extension gets a plain RESET_STREAM. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Carry #5638's steering changes onto the renamed moq-quic drivers: the shard CID comes from moq_sock::shard::cid, and moq-uring stops greasing the QUIC bit on sharded endpoints. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Endpoint::close now refuses attempts still queued for accept, and wait_all_draining waits for accepts partway through Incoming::accept, so a server shutdown cannot release the socket before those peers hear back. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

The server socket retried every failed recv, so a persistent error spun the endpoint task while tokio kept readiness asserted. Only WouldBlock retries now, matching the driver's tokio runtime. Also cap moq_quic at info like noq was, fix the driver doc example, and point the moq-uring README at the just recipe. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

`SendStream::checkpoint()` marks the data written so far, and `Checkpoint::reset(code)` sends RESET_STREAM_AT with that as the Reliable Size. A checkpoint carries its stream and offset, so a Reliable Size past the written data can no longer be asked for, and `ResetAtError::Unwritten` is gone. The error is renamed by role to `CheckpointError`, since the driver's `ResetError` already names a received reset. moq-quic, the moq-tokio driver, and both WebTransport adapters move to it. The adapters checkpoint once the WebTransport header is written. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The transport half is done, so reliable-reset is deleted. Its MoQ half (a checkpointed reset on moq-net's transport, the publisher keeping the group header, a MoQ-level signal, and dropping the tail grace) moves to quest/m1/quic/group-reset.md. The ACK-progress quest records that its waiter is `Checkpoint::acked()`. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

A peer without RESET_STREAM_AT now still receives the data before a checkpoint: the sender stops sending past it, keeps retransmitting the prefix, and sends a plain RESET_STREAM once the prefix is acknowledged (at once if it already is). STOP_SENDING releases a held reset without the prefix. CheckpointError is gone; Checkpoint::reset fails only with ClosedStream, and the WebTransport adapters drop their plain-reset fallback. After STOP_SENDING shrank an in-flight RESET_STREAM_AT, a late ACK of the earlier frame, matched only by stream id, freed the stream and dropped its zero-sized replacement. Each sent reset now records the Reliable Size it carried, and only an ACK matching the frame the stream would send now retires it. The error code lives in the send state, so the reset queues carry the size instead. Also check that a received Reliable Size does not exceed the Final Size in received_reset, the one place every reset reaches, rather than in the frame decoder, so a direct caller cannot reach Recv::reset with it. A RESET_STREAM_AT acked before STOP_SENDING shrank it left reset_acked set, so a later ACK of the old prefix freed the stream and dropped the zero-sized replacement. The send state now keeps the smallest Reliable Size an acknowledged reset carried, and the reset counts as acked only while that equals the current one, so a shrink invalidates it with no flag to clear. Reset records carry the send state's Reliable Size, which replaces the frame-based comparison in StreamsState::reset_acked. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Rejected 0-RTT discards the client's streams and opens their ids again, so a checkpoint taken in 0-RTT could reset the new stream of the same id. StreamsState now carries a generation bumped on that rejection, and a checkpoint from an older generation fails with ClosedStream. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Checkpoint now carries the connection tag #5675 added for Credit, next to the streams' generation. A checkpoint from another connection panics, as a foreign Credit does, even where that connection's stream of the same id holds as much data, which the old offset assert let through. A stale generation on the right connection, from rejected 0-RTT, still fails with ClosedStream since that is a legitimate race. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Two connections on one Pair share the client address, and the server could route a packet to the wrong one, which hung the test in CI. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Adopt #5690's reset-then-stop fix in `Recv::stop`, which credits only what a reset still owed below its Reliable Size, in place of this branch's parallel one. Keep the `add_read_credits` debug assertion, and cover held credit across reliable resets: a reset then stop with a Reliable Size, and a reliable reset read through to its end. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Brings in reliable reset (#5690) and per-core sharding (#5688). A reset stream with a Reliable Size now stays in its send group's schedule for just the data below that size, and leaves the schedule as soon as nothing is left to send: on reset, on STOP_SENDING abandoning the prefix, and on removal once the reset is acknowledged. The schedule still holds only streams with something to send, so the write loop and can_send_stream_data need no reset special case. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Finishes the transport half of the reliable-reset quest. That quest is deleted here; its MoQ half moves to
quest/m1/quic/group-reset.md.Implements draft-ietf-quic-reliable-stream-reset-11 in
moq-quic, then uses it in both WebTransport adapters so a reset stream keeps its header.moq-quic
reset_stream_at(0x1d) is always advertised. A non-empty value or a duplicate isTRANSPORT_PARAMETER_ERROR. A server that accepts 0-RTT but drops the parameter it had advertised is a protocol violation.RESET_STREAM_AT(0x24) is encoded, decoded, acked, lost, and retransmitted on the existingRESET_STREAMpath. A reliable size of 0 goes out as a plainRESET_STREAM. A reliable size above the final size isFRAME_ENCODING_ERROR, and so is receiving the frame without having advertised it.SendStream::checkpoint()marks the data written so far, andCheckpoint::reset(conn, code)resets the stream while still delivering that data. Nothing past the checkpoint is sent or retransmitted from then on, and the prefix is retransmitted until acked.RESET_STREAM_ATat once, with the checkpoint as the Reliable Size.RESET_STREAMuntil the prefix is fully acked, one extra round trip, or sends it at once if the prefix already is. Its final size still covers the abandoned bytes, so connection flow control is returned the usual way.ClosedStream.STOP_SENDINGforces it to 0, as the draft recommends: a held reset goes out at once, and aRESET_STREAM_ATwhose data is still unacked is replaced by a zero-sized reset, so the prefix stops being retransmitted. A connection close drops a held reset with the stream.readreturns the prefix first, thenReset. A later, smaller Reliable Size shrinks the prefix and a larger one is ignored. A changed error code isSTREAM_STATE_ERRORand a changed final size isFINAL_SIZE_ERROR. Connection credit for abandoned bytes is returned exactly once, for ordered and unordered reads.stopafterresetcredited the unread data twice.Caveat for peers without the extension
An ACK only means the peer's QUIC stack holds the bytes, not that its application read them, and RFC 9000 lets a receiver discard unread data on
RESET_STREAM. So the fallback is reliable only for data the receiving stack parses on arrival, like the WebTransport stream header.Checkpoint::resetdocuments this, and the group-reset quest must check Chrome's behavior before relying on it for MoQ group headers.WebTransport adapters
Both adapters write the WebTransport header of a stream they open, and checkpoint it, before handing the stream out, so no stream exists with a partial header, even near a flow-control boundary.
moq_tokio::quic::webalready did this. moq-uring's adapter used to write the header lazily ahead of the first payload byte, so a reset could follow a partial header write; itspoll_open_*now waits for the header's credit instead, which also removes the owed-header state fromfinish,poll_closedandDrop. A reset from that checkpoint delivers the header, with or without the extension, so the peer can tell which session the reset belongs to. Only a stream the peer opened, which has no header of ours, gets a plainRESET_STREAM.Decisions
Settled by the maintainer (2026-10-16):
reset_at(code, reliable_size)SendStream::checkpoint() -> CheckpointandCheckpoint::reset(code). A checkpoint carries its stream and offset, so a Reliable Size past the written data cannot be asked for, andUnwrittenis gone. The m2 ACK-progress quest addsCheckpoint::acked()to the same handle.reset(code, size)quest/m1/quic/group-reset.md, which usesCheckpointUnsupportedso the caller falls back to a plain resetRESET_STREAMuntil the prefix is acked.Checkpoint::resetfails only withClosedStream, so the dedicated error type is gone.Picked here, open to review:
Checkpoint::resetreusesClosedStreaminstead of a one-variant error type.Checkpoint::resettakes the&mut Connection. It carries the stream id, so it cannot hit another stream. It also carries the connection tag feat(quic): hold connection credit until the receiver releases it #5675 added forCredit, and using it on a different connection panics the same way, a caller bug. It also carries the streams' generation, which rejected 0-RTT bumps when it discards the client's streams and reopens their ids, so a checkpoint from before fails withClosedStreamrather than resetting the new stream. The tokio driver'sCheckpointholds itsConnectionRef, so that mistake cannot happen there.checkpoint()crate-private, since only its adapter needs it.Public API

"TS validation" (
just test ts --full) fails intermittently with "the source's clock runs ... ppm off ours". That is the known start-up drift flake tracked byquest/m1/ts-drift-startup.md(#5564), and #5664's branch and main failed it the same way; details in the comments. #5714, now merged in, fixes it.(Written by Opus 5.5)
